Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams this summer.
They have already strengthened their defensive ranks with the additions of Martin Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke.
Williams is not short of suitors this summer, with Newcastle United and Manchester United also keen on the ‘incredible‘ 25-year-old.
The Forest star can play in both full-back positions, and his versatility impressed Jurgen Klopp during their Liverpool days.
Tottenham could do with Williams’ experience and quality, but a move is likely to depend on Spence’s future.
The Wales international would also prefer to join a club where he is guaranteed a spot in the starting XI.
Spurs have Spence, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Robertson as their available full-backs heading into next season.
Although the lack of European football has not deterred some of their transfer targets, Williams could be open to moving to where Champions League football is available.
Forest are desperate to hold on to the Welshman and are confident of securing a new deal.
Williams has three years left on his current deal, but Forest want to reward him with an improved contract.
It is unclear whether Spurs will make an offer for him, but more signings are expected in the coming weeks as De Zerbi eyes an explosive start to the new season.
