Tottenham Hotspur suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday.
Mistakes by Guglielmo Vicario allowed Callum Hudson-Odoi to score a brace before Ibrahim Sangare’s stunner secured a comfortable victory for Forest.
The defeat has brought scrutiny on manager Thomas Frank, who has overseen a poor start to the season since coming into the role in June.
BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel claims the Dane faces internal doubts at Tottenham but the club are unlikely to make a knee-jerk reaction in response to Sunday’s defeat.
Frank’s position as Spurs’ manager doesn’t appear to be under any immediate threat, and the club are yet to reach a point during the season where they have given serious consideration to dismissing him.
He has recorded 10 wins and eight losses in 25 games in charge.
His future at Tottenham looked in doubt when the team suffered three straight defeats in November.
They then bounced back with two wins and a draw from their next three fixtures to ease the pressure on Frank.
The Lilywhites were expected to continue their good form against a Forest team that were well beaten by Everton in their last outing.
However, they produced a dismal display at the City Ground and deserved nothing from the match.
Richarlison, Mohammed Kudus and Pedro Porro were extremely poor, and it will be intriguing to see if Frank persists with them in his starting XI.
