According to reports in England, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur have identified Jules Kounde as a potential defensive reinforcement, and are preparing a €65 million offer for the Barcelona defender.

The French international is admired for his versatility, but a transfer currently appears unlikely, as Barcelona regard him as an important player both at right-back and in central defence.

According to the report, Tottenham remain attentive to Kounde’s situation and could formalise their interest if an opportunity to negotiate emerges.

Whether a move becomes possible will depend on both Barcelona’s position and the player’s own intentions during the remainder of the transfer window.

However, as things stand, there is no formal approach from the Premier League club and Barcelona continue to count on Kounde, who himself has made it clear that he intends to remain at the Spotify Camp Nou for the foreseeable future.
