Kasper Hjulmand is widely expected to be sacked by Bayer Leverkusen after Saturday’s final Bundesliga match, with Champions League qualification seen as unlikely.
Sky Germany reports that the club have begun their search and have identified two potential successors, Filipe Luís and Girona coach Michel.
Filipe Luís led Flamengo to a league title and the Copa Libertadores, but was dismissed in March. Leverkusen chief executive Fernando Carro and sporting director Simon Rolfes are said to rate the former Brazil international highly.
Michel is another option and is expected to leave the La Liga side in the summer.
Hjulmand only took charge a few games into the season and is under contract until 2027.
