Eintracht Frankfurt lost 3-0 at home to Häcken in the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup semi-final tie. Niko Arnautis’ side were the only ones to win all their games in the previous rounds of the inaugural competition.

Alva Selerud scored the only goal of the first-half before Felicia Schröder reached 40 goals for the season with a second-half brace. The 18-year-old striker is among the most sought-after players in women’s football.

Fellow Damallsvenskan side Hammarby also won their tie away from home with an injury-time strike to beat Sparta Prague 3-2. The first-ever Women’s Europa Cup final could be contested between two Swedish sides if both maintain their advantages in next week’s return legs. Frankfurt are the first winners of the Women's Champions League when it first started in the 2001/02 season with its old name, UEFA Women's Cup.
