The club said in a statement that Óscar Sánchez will remain in charge of VCF Mestalla after agreeing a new deal, aiming to consolidate the playing style shown late in the campaign when Group III survival in Segunda Federación was secured.

Talks accelerated once safety was confirmed, ending in full agreement. Sánchez took over in March after Miguel Ángel Angulo was dismissed.

His impact was immediate, six matches brought four wins and two defeats, with 18 scored and seven conceded. That run convinced the sporting department and the Academy to extend the project under the Murcian coach.

The renewal also recognises his Academy work over the last two seasons. Before Mestalla, he led Valencia Juvenil A to the 2024/25 Group VII División de Honor title and the Copa de Campeones Juvenil final.

He also contributed to another Juvenil A league crown in 2025/26. The contract runs until 30 June 2027, with an optional extra year by mutual agreement.

The decision fits the Academy plan to strengthen the pathway from youth to the B team through a coordinated model. It is expected that Euge Ribera will continue with Juvenil A to maintain alignment. With the renewal confirmed, Valencia have taken an early step in planning for 2026/27, when VCF Mestalla will again compete in Segunda Federación under Sánchez.
