According to Superdeporte, Valencia have begun negotiations to extend Óscar Sánchez’s contract as Mestalla coach, with both parties fully aligned and no issues anticipated in reaching an agreement.
He stepped up from Juvenil A to take charge of VCF Mestalla on 24 March following the dismissal of Miguel Ángel Angulo.
Since taking over, he has secured the B team’s safety with four wins in five, collecting 12 of 15 points against Terrassa, Sant Andreu, Castellón B and Espanyol B.
The upturn, allied to trust in his demanding methods, has underpinned the push to keep him.
In 24/25 he won Group VII of División de Honor and reached the Copa de Campeones Juvenil final after eliminating Barcelona and Real Madrid in the earlier rounds. He attended Juvenil A’s league title celebration on Sunday under current coach Euge Ribera.
