Victor Kristiansen has joined Panathinaikos on a season-long loan, which includes an option to make the move permanent.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, that option could become an obligation if he reaches a set number of appearances. It is thought to be around half of their league matches, with each appearance requiring at least 45 minutes.
The left-back, 24, joined Leicester from Copenhagen in 2023 and has made 51 appearances in all competitions. He spent 2023/24 with Bologna, helping them qualify for the Champions League.
He was a regular during City’s Premier League campaign, then featured only six times last term after a broken jaw and a serious knee injury.
Kristiansen now links up again with Jacob Neestrup, the Panathinaikos manager, having worked together at Copenhagen. The Dane was their first-choice target for left-back from the start of this window.
Bilal El Khannouss’ switch to Stuttgart became permanent automatically once he reached a set appearance threshold in Germany.
Further departures are expected, with Harry Winks in Italy to complete a move to Cagliari and Jannik Vestergaard in talks to terminate his contract.
