It’s Joao Pedro who got it, slammed the ball in after being given way too much space at the penalty spot, but everyone will be talking about the assist. Having just come on as a sub, Estevao Willian attracted two defenders as he scampered down the right wing. He feinted to come inside, then drove to the byline and pulled a simple cutback in to the box where his international colleague was waiting.

Estevao had been on the pitch for 68 seconds when he assisted that goal. His impact can’t be overstated. The moment he jogged on the crowd were lifted, and the whole mood changed.

The third didn’t take long to come after that – once again it was an Alejandro Garnacho assist, his second of the game, as the winger streaked clear of the defence and pulled the ball across for Pedro Neto, who is now leading the line as a striker.

The Portugal star does a lot of work which doesn’t get appreciated, so it’s always nice when he finds the net.

In other news…

Malo Gusto opened the scoring with his first senior goal, a header at the back post after a great cross from Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea were booed off at half time in this game, after a first half where they disappointed in terms of intensity and risk taking. These goals should help them win the crowd back – but they can’t let any points slip here.
