Crystal Palace are having a busy deadline day as Oliver Glasner’s side are still looking to add a defender and they were linked with Ruben Kluivert today, but negotiations are off.

With the last few hours remaining in the window, they are also focused on outgoings, and they have seen Jean-Philippe Mateta’s transfer to AC Milan collapse, and Juventus have revived their interest in the forward.

Another outgoing transfer could be on the cards for the London outfit, as youngster Mustapa is being targeted by Championship strugglers West Brom.

Mustapha is a Palace academy product and last summer he was sought out by Championship outfit Portsmouth but ended up joining German club Nurnberg on loan, where he featured only for their youth side.

He returned after the expiry of his loan spell and he once again has the chance to join a Championship outfit.

It has been claimed that West Brom are ‘in talks’ with Crystal Palace to secure a deadline day swoop for Mustapha.

The Baggies are in a relegation fight and they are focusing on bringing Premier League talents to help inexperienced manager Eric Ramsay to keep them up.

West Brom have already struck a deal with Crystal Palace in the January transfer window to take Danny Imray on loan.

Ramsay’s side have also secured the signature of highly rated Aston Villa youngster Jamal Jimoh-Aloba on loan also.

The Baggies are desperate to do further business as a series of disastrous decisions from the club’s owners have made the prospect of League One football very real.

Now it remains to be seen whether Mustapha will follow the same path of Imray and Jimoh-Aloba in the dying hours of the window to join West Brom.
