Marca suggest hierarchy outweighed form

What changed after Bellingham’s return? Marca raises questions
Spanish newspaper Marca claimed Jude Bellingham is jealous of Arda Guler and is trying to limit his role at Real Madrid.
Spanish outlet Marca has published strong opinion piece accusing Jude Bellingham of showing jealousy toward his teammate Arda Guler at Real Madrid.
The report claims tension appeared after Bellingham returned from injury which led to Guler losing his starting role.
The situation reportedly added pressure on former coach Xabi Alonso who was later dismissed following 3-2 loss to Barcelona in Spanish Super Cup final.
According to Marca, Guler had been one of Real Madrid’s standout players during Alonso’s time in charge.
Alongside Kylian Mbappe, the Turkish midfielder was seen as a key attacking option in first half of the season.
However once Bellingham recovered from injury, Guler’s minutes dropped sharply. The article suggests that hierarchy and seniority played a bigger role than form which caused frustration both on and off the pitch.
Journalist Carlos Carpio wrote on Monday that Real Madrid are still struggling despite Alonso’s departure and the arrival of Alvaro Arbeloa.
Carpio claimed that when Guler became important, Bellingham returned and began trying to control the midfield.
He accused the England star of attempting to reduce Guler’s influence and take over a leadership role that, in his view, has not led to better results.
The article questioned whether Arbeloa can find a solution. According to Marca, Bellingham & Guler cannot play together in midfield under the current setup.
If the issue is not fixed, the paper warned that Real Madrid could continue to struggle for positive results.
