The Gunners are looking for their first win of the new-look league phase, having drawn 0-0 with Atalanta last month. PSG, meanwhile, head into the second round of games off the back of a win having beaten Girona last time out.

Such are the sweeping changes made to Europe’s elite-level club competition this term, amendments have also been made as to how UK-based viewers can watch the action.

While TNT Sports have been the usual broadcaster for the Champions League since 2015, Amazon Prime Video will now have the rights to show every ‘top Tuesday match’. It started with Liverpool’s win over AC Milan and continues tonight, with coverage from the Emirates Stadium starting at 6:30pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.

TNT Sports, previously known as BT Sports, and Amazon Prime Video will share broadcasting rights over a three-year period between 2024 and 2027.

The BBC are this season airing a dedicated highlights show from the Champions League for the very first time, which is shown at 10:40pm every Wednesday night during the tournament’s run.

TNT Sports have kept the rights to the majority of the games this season (553 fixtures out of 550), but Amazon get the first pick of 17 matches on a Tuesday up until the semi-finals.

Arsenal’s meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk will also be shown live on Amazon Prime Video, along with Liverpool vs Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City vs Feyenoord. Selections for matchweeks 6 and 7 will come at a later date. TNT Sports still have exclusive rights to the Europa League and the Conference League in the UK.
