Serie A side Juventus would be desperate to land a goalkeeper in the summer, with doubts increasing about the future of Michele Di Gregorio. Mattia Perin can also depart, with Alisson and Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario previously seen as possible options.
It seems as if the Brazilian’s candidacy is losing ground, especially as Andoni Iraola coming in as a new manager.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Mike Maignan is now also on the shortlist. While reports in France have spoken of contact, that hasn’t taken place and the Les Bleus star is simply one of the many options being considered by the Old Lady.
A key name is that of Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario, who was previously pursued by Inter. The Nerazzurri have moved away but the ex-Empoli player’s name is rising on Juve’s shortlist.
They see him as an accessible target, with Tottenham also somewhat open to his sale. The 29-year-old is keen on a return to Serie A and would be interested in moving to Juve.
It does feel like Vicario has run his race at Tottenham, especially after the season he had. Antonin Kinsky seemed much more reliable, leaving Roberto De Zerbi to favour him.
This could be Spurs’ best chance of selling the Italian too. His contract runs out in 2028, which will reduce his value in 2027. So even if Juve offer just a bit less than their asking price, the London club should consider a sale.
