According to Globo.com, D32, co-owned by former Brazil goalkeeper Doniéber Alexander Marangon, Doni, has faced 22 civil lawsuits since 2018 at Orange County court, which covers Orlando and Palm Bay in the United States.

Cases include alleged breaches of contract linked to investor funding targeting the US property market, plus civil claims of up to $50,000.

Court records list five pending cases, including one from Santos player Willian Souza Arão da Silva, who says he lost $200,000 with D32. Another case is being reopened.

Others are closed, notably a 2021 deal where two residents agreed to buy a $200,000 home in Dunnellon, 136 kilometres from Orlando. They sought $59,600 back after the build was not completed.

In that case, the court warned D32’s partners they could be arrested if they skipped a hearing last Tuesday, citing repeated absences. Held by video, it lasted four minutes. A new deposition is set for 1 May.

Doni denies the accusations and calls the disputes isolated. He says the firm is restructuring, with contracts under review and renegotiation by new management.

D32 operates in the US property market and is co-owned by Doni, formerly of Brazil, Corinthians, Roma and Liverpool, with fellow Brazilian Werner Macedo.

In 2025, a local Florida TV channel reported abandoned properties in Palm Bay, prompting complaints. Buyers have also alleged losses due to undelivered homes and no refunds.
