With Jose Sa likely to move on, Wolves appear set to seek a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer. They are being linked with Wolfsberger AC’s Nikolas Polster.
Sam Johnstone remains on the books, but Sky Sports Austria reports Celtic and Wolves are keen on Polster, valued at around £1.5m, with German interest too.
In Türkiye, claims suggest Besiktas still have Sa on their shortlist, after previous links to Nottingham Forest and Saudi Arabia.
It was reported this week that midfielder Gomes rejected approaches including from Leeds. He is expected to leave, with Atletico Madrid reportedly opening talks over a £39m move, while Liverpool are still said to hold an interest.
West Brom have had a seven-figure bid for Falkirk forward Barney Stewart turned down, the Daily Record claims. The Scotland under-21 international impressed on loan at Dunfermline, and the report says Albion have made multiple offers.
Albion have also been linked with Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson. Joe Wildsmith will no doubt depart and there is uncertainty over Max O’Leary, while a return for former keeper Alex Palmer, sold for £5m about 18 months ago, has been floated.
Aston Villa are said to have joined the chase for West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, with the Hammers expected to sell even if they stay up. Multiple reports claim Donyell Malen’s loan to Roma will become permanent via a buy clause.
