Wolves were fortunate to leave Brentford with a point after the Premier League’s Key Match Incidents Panel ruled the hosts should have had a penalty in the 2-2 draw, according to ExpressAndStar.com. The panel voted four to one that holding in the area warranted a spot-kick, but said it was not a clear and obvious error for VAR to overturn.
The Bees were 2-0 up in the 41st minute when Kevin Schade was held by Andre. The incident was not penalised on the pitch and VAR did not intervene.
Goals from Adam Armstrong and Tolu Arokodare brought Wolves back from two down at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Arokodare struck the bar late on as Wolves came close to taking all three points.
Wolves have often felt decisions go against them with VAR in recent seasons.
This was their final outing before a three-week break.
