Norwegian supporters have unveiled a Viking-style ‘rowing’ routine in the stands ahead of the World Cup.

According to L'Équipe, the routine was revealed during Monday’s derby with Sweden. Norway won 3-1.

To a steady drumbeat, fans move in unison to mimic rowers on Viking ships.

The display also appears influenced by the thunderclap popularised by Iceland.

Martin Odegaard and his team-mates are in Group I with Senegal, Iraq and France, in what is Norway’s first World Cup since 1998.
