Zé Ivaldo joins Remo on loan from Santos until the end of the season | OneFootball

Remo announced on Monday the signing of centre-back Zé Ivaldo on loan from Santos until the end of the season.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 29-year-old remains under contract with Santos until December 2027 and had been training separately at CT Rei Pelé after the squad’s return from the calendar break.

This year he has 12 appearances, five in the Brasileirão and seven in the Paulista.

He joined Santos last year on loan from Cruzeiro, with a clause requiring a permanent purchase if he played in 60% of that season’s matches. The trigger led to a US$ one million deal, about R$ five point three million at the time. He experienced ups and downs at the club.

Last year he made 34 appearances for Santos, scoring one goal in 17 Brasileiro matches, plus 12 in the Paulista and two in the Copa do Brasil. He also featured in friendlies against Coritiba, Desportiva Ferroviária and RB Leipzig.

Born in Maceió, he came through CRB’s youth system in 2014, then joined Athletico-PR in 2015, turning professional and staying eight seasons. He had loans to Vitória in 2019 and Cruzeiro in 2022.

With Athletico-PR he won four Paranaense titles and two Conmebol Sul-Americana crowns. After impressing on loan, Cruzeiro bought him outright in 2024, and he made 83 appearances, scoring five with three assists, and was part of the squad that won Série B in 2022.
