According to L’Équipe, an anonymous collective of Olympique de Marseille employees have accused sporting coordinator Bob Tahri of contributing to a toxic working environment behind the scenes at the Ligue 1 club. The complaint was reportedly sent on Tuesday evening to Marseille’s hierarchy, HR department, and employee representatives and was allegedly written by around 20 staff members working across the administrative and sporting sectors at OM.

The email describes what employees claim is a climate of “paranoia at every level” internally, with staff allegedly fearing repercussions for speaking openly.

“We are forced to remain anonymous out of fear for our jobs,” the message reportedly stated. “Many people are afraid of being fired or demoted.”

According to L’Équipe, the complaint specifically targets Tahri, accusing the Marseille sporting coordinator of manipulation, intimidation, and contributing to growing tensions within the club.

The report also claims the email references numerous departures across several departments at OM, including communications, medical, and operational staff, alongside criticism of what employees allegedly describe as erratic management methods.

Marseille have confirmed that the matter is now being handled internally.

“The HR department has taken the matter very seriously and is studying all measures that need to be implemented in light of the situation,” the club told L’Équipe.

An internal investigation is now expected to be launched.

Tahri denied wrongdoing when contacted by the French outlet.

“People cannot damage my work and my image without proof,” he told L’Équipe.
