These nine players are set to leave Huddersfield Town this summer, unless fresh talks take place in the coming weeks
This summer, Huddersfield Town will be preparing for their third consecutive season in League One.
The Terriers have had a disappointing campaign this year, given the ambitions of the higher-ups at the Accu Stadium, the calibre of players they were bringing in this summer, and the expectations of the club as a whole to be at least challenging atop the third tier.
It'll be interesting to see how much of a squad reshuffle takes place at Huddersfield this summer, given that this past season, a total of 20 new faces joined the club.
Granted, some of these were loans that have already left, and others are loanees who will leave at the culmination of the season. But, with several permanent deals being made, plus existing long-term deals, there aren't too many players out of contract at the Accu Stadium this summer.
But here are those out-of-contract stars, plus the current loanees, who will be leaving the club this summer.
N.B. Cameron Ashia's contract situation is unclear. As the Yorkshire Post reported in March, the Huddersfield academy graduate is expected to be out of contract this season, but Fox Academy announced last year that he had signed a new deal until 2027.
Here are the players that we fully expect to be leaving Huddersfield this summer, unless anything changes in the coming weeks.

Starting with the various players on loan at Huddersfield, Will Alves has arguably had the least impact, compared to how long he's been at the club for, having signed from Leicester City for the year back in September.
It's been an injury-riddled season for the midfielder, who looked to have some promise after a solid loan spell at Cardiff City in the Championship the year prior.
But a foot injury picked up on his first start against Burton Albion saw him out until January, and more recently, he missed a month of action before making his return in the penultimate game of the campaign against Mansfield Town.
With parent club Leicester set to be joining Huddersfield in League One next season, Alves may find himself in the Foxes fold more come the summer, but even then, the Terriers may not have wanted to keep him anyway.

Ryan Hardie has also failed to make much of an impact in his loan spell from Wrexham due to various injuries.
The striker arrived in West Yorkshire towards the tail end of two months on the sidelines due to a knee injury picked up while at Wrexham, and a similar problem struck once more in March, one which he hasn't returned from.
Hardie still managed to net twice in six games for the Terriers, and there'll be some 'what if's' surrounding their league position if the 29-year-old remained fit.

Josh Feeney suffered a season-ending injury in the warm-up ahead of the trip to Leyton Orient on Easter Monday, bringing an end to his loan spell from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old struggled to get back into the side in 2026 after returning from a groin injury. Before then, he'd managed a run of 10 starts in 11 games, his longest run of the season.
It'll be difficult to see Feeney back at the Accu Stadium next season, but the young centre-back does still have potential and clearly can hit the ground running during his next loan spell.

It's been a disastrous loan spell at Huddersfield for Swansea City's Bobby Wales.
After failing to make a real impact in five substitute appearances between February and March, the 20-year-old was left out of the squad until a return as an unused sub against Mansfield Town in the penultimate game of the campaign.
It was evident that the young Scot needed game time in the second half of the season, having come to South Wales in the summer from Kilmarnock with plenty of fanfare, but it just hasn't happened for the frontman.

And the final loanee currently on the books at the Accu Stadium, and arguably the one who has made the biggest impact, is Ipswich Town's Cameron Humphreys.
The 22-year-old joined in January after failing to make any real inroads into the Championship side in the first half of the season.
League One fans knew what he could bring after his excellent 2024/25 campaign at Wycombe Wanderers, and he's shown glimpses of that in West Yorkshire and has established himself in the Terriers' side in the last few months.
The three-and-a-half-year deal he signed at Portman Road is up at the end of the season, but Ipswich do have a one-year option on that. Nevertheless, it'll be intriguing to see where his destination ends up this summer.

With Owen Goodman's loan move being cut short in January, and Jacob Chapman being allowed to move on loan, too, Huddersfield had to bring in a couple of goalkeepers to help back up Lee Nicholls.
Nik Tzanev was brought in from League Two side Newport County on a deal until the end of the season and has acted as third-choice throughout the remainder of the campaign.
He did make his Huddersfield bow off the bench for the second half in their final home game of the season, conceding twice in the 4-1 defeat against Mansfield. Overall, though, it'll be a real surprise if the New Zealand international remains at the Accu Stadium past this season.

Neo Eccleston was given a one-year contract last summer, but arguably hasn't done enough to really warrant another extension during the offseason.
The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season out on loan in League Two again with Grimsby Town, but unlike at Barrow, where he impressed last term, he only managed 24 minutes of fourth-tier action across a couple of substitute appearances.
He was sent back in January and hasn't made a Huddersfield appearance since.

After being a serviceable bench option for Plymouth Argyle in their first season back in the Championship in the 2023/24 campaign, Huddersfield made sure that he was one of their first signings upon their League One return.
The 30-year-old has had an awful time with injury during his couple of years at Huddersfield, including a five-month knee injury absence last season, and two two-month hamstring lay-offs this term.
Unfortunately, the Terriers just haven't been able to keep him fit, and he'll likely look elsewhere for a new club this summer.

Just over two years ago, Huddersfield parted ways with a reported £2 million to bring Rhys Healey to the club from Watford. It's safe to say that injuries have stopped him from having the desired impact.
Healey was sent out on loan to Barrow at the start of this season, but hamstring issues stopped him from playing more than just once for the League Two side way back in August, which serves as the final time he's made a squad appearance.
The 31-year-old was the top scorer in the French Ligue 2 back in 21/22 for Toulouse, and he'll be hoping he can finally be in a position where he can play 20 games a season, let alone score that many.
His initial two and a half year deal expires at the end of the season, and it's unlikely that it'll be renewed - it's been an unfortunate decline for a player that had a lot of promise when he returned to English shores after his stint in France.
