For the second consecutive year, Como's football club organised the Como Cup.
Como 1907 invited us to discover its iconic stadium, the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, located on the shores of Lake Como, as part of the 2026 Como Cup.
Here is our review of this pre-season tournament, the stadium and the highlights to discover!
The 2026 Como Cup took place over four evenings during one week.
Six teams took part in the 2026 Como Cup: Como 1907, RC Lens, Crystal Palace, Villarreal, FC Famalicão and AlUla SC.
During the first two evenings, three clubs faced each other in two 45-minute matches. The following two days were dedicated to the placement matches, played over the full 90 minutes.
RC Lens won the 2026 edition of the Como Cup, beating Villarreal in the final.
Como 1907 brought the Como Cup to life through a range of activities and experiences.
First of all, a small fan village was set up on a square by the lake. It featured mini football pitches, foosball tables, a gaming area, a DJ, a bar area, stands from several clubs and partners, and more. The village remained lively throughout the week.
For the occasion, Como 1907 also offered various hospitality packages and experiences. These included packages with hotel stays, the opportunity to enjoy a match evening in premium conditions with a pre-match meal overlooking the lake, boat trips on the lake, visits to nearby villas and more — a great opportunity to combine tourism and football.
As part of the Como Cup, Como 1907 took the opportunity to unveil its brand-new jersey for the historic season ahead, particularly with the club's participation in the Champions League.
Four different club shops can be found in the city centre. One shop is dedicated to sportswear and jerseys. Another focuses on merchandise such as scarves, keyrings and T-shirts. A third shop is dedicated to lifestyle collections, featuring a range of clothing including jackets, sweaters, polo shirts, T-shirts and vintage jerseys. The fourth shop is dedicated specifically to the Como Cup, with a collection created especially for the event. All four shops are located right in the heart of Como city centre.
For this edition of the Como Cup, Como 1907 invited us to the opening evening featuring RC Lens, Crystal Palace and Famalicão through its "Canottieri" hospitality offer.
The experience started two hours before kick-off at the Canottieri restaurant, located directly in front of the stadium on the lakeside. We were welcomed with an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring cold cuts, cheeses, local specialities and more. The restaurant's terrace overlooks Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, providing the perfect setting before the match.
We then headed to the stands, where our central seats offered an excellent view of the match, with the mountains and lake providing a stunning backdrop.
The Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium is truly unique: a historic stadium that has retained its authentic character, located right on the shores of the lake and offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The stadium is just a 10-minute walk from Como city centre.
It is also worth noting that you can enjoy a beautiful elevated view of the stadium from Brunate, accessible by funicular.
In short, Como — and the Como Cup in particular — offers a fantastic opportunity to combine tourism and football in an exceptional setting.
A huge thank you to Como 1907 for the invitation. Find all the practical information and our recommendations for the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium directly on the stadium page.
