Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is targeting a trophy overhaul after his side suffered a shock CAF Champions League exit in the second preliminary round.
The Buccaneers were sent packing by FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo of Democratic Republic of Congo but have since regrouped and reached the Carling Knockout Cup final at the weekend.
In addition, Pirates currently sit second on the Betway Premiership table and trail log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by three points with two games in hand.
When quizzed on whether the CAF exit will fuel his side to go all out for domestic titles, the former Morocco international didn't hesitate to state the Sea Robbers are gunning for all trophies on offer.
“I think you bring on the table a subject that is of course very important for the club. It's very difficult because it was one of our targets, let's see what the future will say. For now we are focused on the league, we are focused on the rest of the competitions that we are trying to give our best to win them,” said Ouaddou.
"The lights are still green for the other competitions and you can be sure that the players, the staff will give 100% everything to try to reach the targets. But of course, we cannot hide this disappointment [CAF exit] because it was one of our targets.
On turning things around after a false start to his tenure, Ouaddou downplayed the promising signs of dominance, stressing that it would be premature to give a verdict on his spell at the club.
“I think it's too soon to summarize my work. I will be judged at the end of the season, I'm still at the beginning. In this job you have to be very humble. I think the ambition that we have is to deliver every games a good performance,” he added.
"The boys are doing a great job since now three, four months but for me let's say that if you ask me that question at the end of the season I will be able to answer you but it's too soon, let's stay humble and keep on working.
