Achraf Hakimi to stand trial for rape after Versailles court ruling | OneFootball

Achraf Hakimi will stand trial for rape before the Hauts-de-Seine criminal court after the Court of Appeal of Versailles confirmed on Friday, 19 June 2026, that investigations had produced sufficient charges to justify his indictment.

The Morocco captain has been accused since February 2023 by a young woman of rape. He was indicted and placed under judicial supervision in March 2023.

He appealed the investigating judge’s February order sending him for trial, but the appeal chamber has upheld the referral. A trial date has not yet been set.

Hakimi has consistently denied the allegation, describing it as false.

The PSG right back, aged 27, is captaining Morocco at the World Cup in the United States, with their second match against Scotland scheduled for Friday night.
