On Friday afternoon, Côte d’Ivoire coach Émerse Faé named his World Cup squad, selecting AS Monaco winger Adingra. The tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Nice-Matin reports that Adingra returned to the national set-up in the last window after missing the most recent Africa Cup of Nations.
Former Monaco defender Wilfried Singo, now at Galatasaray, is also included. After Maghnes Akliouche’s selection by France, Adingra is the latest Monaco player called.
The Elephants start against Ecuador on 15 June, then face Germany on 20 June and Curaçao on 25 June.
Belgium coach Rudi Garcia has not included Faes. The Monaco centre-back had not featured in recent Red Devils squads, so this is not a surprise.
Takumi Minamino, returning from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament sustained in December 2025, is also absent. Japan boss Hajime Moriyasu has chosen other options.
Selection decisions are imminent for Caio Henrique on 18 May, Denis Zakaria on 20 May, the pair Lamine Camara and Krépin Diatta on 21 May, and Folarin Balogun on 26 May.
