AFC Bournemouth ‘agree deal’ for Sevilla’s Juanlu | OneFootball

Sky Sports News and the BBC report that Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Sevilla for right-back Juanlu Sanchez worth £11.2 million.

The package is put at £9.5 million plus £1.7 million in add-ons, with Sevilla understood to have a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

Bournemouth have been searching for a right-back after Alex Jimenez left for Fiorentina on loan, with the Spaniard suspended by the FA and under investigation.

It was understood the Cherries had a shortlist of five right-backs, including the 22-year-old, before moving forward on this agreement.

An attacking full-back who can also operate on the wing, Juanlu has made 109 appearances for Sevilla and featured 38 times for Mirandes during a loan spell.

He has played in the Champions League and represented Spain at the Olympics, appearing four times including the final, as his side went on to win gold.
