FC Bayern continues to work on signing Bara Sapoko Ndiaye to a permanent contract. But although the Munich club is determined to close the deal, several factors now appear to be causing new complications.

Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is one of FC Bayern’s most exciting prospects for the future. The 18-year-old impressed in his first professional appearances under Vincent Kompany, surprisingly made the cut for Senegal’s World Cup squad, and turned heads there as well. Consequently, the Munich club is very keen to secure the midfielder on a permanent basis.

But the transfer is proving to be more complicated than initially thought.

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg described the current situation in the transfer negotiations and explained: “He’s not currently under contract with Bayern, but with the Gambino Stars. Bayern’s partner club, LAFC, is involved. Bayern is negotiating and is currently in talks with the Gambino Stars about signing Bara.”

Above all, the Senegalese player’s rapid rise is now causing difficulties. “The problem is that he’s taken off so quickly that the purchase price isn’t really set yet. He’s become increasingly expensive, and now the Gambino Stars have to reach an agreement with Bayern,” said Plettenberg.

Confusion Over Agent Situation

On top of that, there’s apparently another obstacle off the field. “And behind the scenes, there’s also a bit of a dispute over agents. Who will be in charge going forward? Who’s currently in charge? That’s complicating the negotiations for Bara,” the transfer expert continued.

Despite the unresolved issues, Plettenberg remains optimistic. His assessment is: “But he should be coming soon.”

For FC Bayern, signing him permanently would be an important step. Internally, Ndiaye is regarded as a player with exceptional potential for development. He arrived in Munich just at the beginning of the year; shortly thereafter, he made his professional debut under Vincent Kompany and, surprisingly, made the cut for Senegal’s World Cup squad.

Thanks to his strong performances, his market value also skyrocketed within just a few months. It is precisely this development that is now making negotiations with his club in The Gambia significantly more difficult. Nevertheless, officials at Säbener Straße are apparently convinced that the transfer can ultimately be successfully completed.
