Al-Hilal ‘to offload’ Karim Benzema if new striker arrives | OneFootball

According to Goal.com, Al-Hilal have opened the door to offloading Karim Benzema this season, with a financial settlement under consideration if they secure a new goalscoring striker in the current summer transfer window.

The development emerged a day after a flashpoint in the Roshn League opener, when Benzema objected to being withdrawn in the 70th minute of a 4-2 win over Al-Faisaly.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi defended the reaction after the final whistle, saying it was natural for the Frenchman to want as much playing time as possible.

Benzema joined Al-Hilal last winter on a free transfer after terminating his Al-Ittihad contract.

He has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.
