The Argentine is attracting plenty of interest this month
Chelsea’s attempts to sign Alejandro Garnacho took a new twist last night.
The Blues were last week said to be keen on a deal for the Manchester United academy graduate, so much so that they are reportedly seeking reassurances over Garnacho’s temperament.
Napoli are also reportedly interested as they look for a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain. The Serie A side, it was been claimed, have seen an opening bid worth around £40million rejected and are now expected to move on to other targets after learning of United’s £60m asking price.
Advantage Chelsea, then? Perhaps. Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday night that Garnacho’s agents were at Stamford Bright to watch the Blues beat Wolves.
An image posted on social media confirmed Carlos Cambeiro and Quique De Lucas, who work for Lead3rs agency, were in attendance as Chelsea beat Wolves to get back to winning ways.
Garnacho faces a crucial final few days of the transfer window, with United reportedly willing to cash in on the Argentine star as manager Ruben Amorim looks to refresh his failing squad.
