There are a host of household names who have made the stacked list of League Two strikers.

League Two may be the fourth tier of English football, but the division is packed with household names who have made their mark up and down the EFL.

Possessing a prolific goalscorer can be the difference between promotion and relegation, but it can also trigger transfers up the divisions, as Josh Kabia found out over the summer.

While it is the early knockings of the season, it is evident that possessing a top striker does not necessarily equate to positive league performances, but there is plenty of time for that to change.

Here, FLW ranks each League Two club's best striker from worst to best.

24 ? ? Christian Doidge - Newport County

One of the elder statesmen in the division, Christian Doidge has enjoyed a fruitful career in England and Scotland, with his spells at Hibernian and Forest Green Rovers yielding 127 goals.

However, at 34, the striker has found goals harder to come by in his twilight years, bagging just one in the National League last term for the Green before he joined Newport County in the summer.

Harvey Saunders has never been a prolific goalscorer, but the 12 he netted for Eastleigh in the National League last term were enough to secure a move to relegated Northampton Town.

While it is early days, the forward has struggled in the fourth tier, and it could be a long season for the 29-year-old and the Cobblers.

Another man who enjoyed an encouraging 2025/26 campaign in the National League is Oliver Lynch, whose 12 league goals guided Tamworth to a mid-table finish.

Lynch bagged his first goal of the season for Port Vale against Swindon Town but needs to show more if he is to replicate last term's tally.

If it were not for Emmanuel Dieseruvwe, then Rochdale would not be playing League Two football this season.

The 31-year-old amassed 27 goals in the National League last term, with his late, late goals helping Dale to promotion, but he has struggled to find the back of the net in the fourth tier.

Caton only notched three National League goals for Hartlepool United last term but has already surpassed that and is set to play a key role as the club strives to survive in League Two.
