América absentees for the Clásico Nacional as Chivas set the pace | OneFootball

América will be without Alejandro Zendejas and Alan Cervantes for Saturday's Clásico Nacional, with Chivas arriving as leaders after five wins from five.

According to Americayya.net, it had been customary for América to come in better placed than Chivas, but this time the roles are reversed. América took only two points from the opening three rounds, then responded with consecutive wins from the fourth.

The venue is regarded as favourable for América, who have posted a positive record there against Chivas.

Zendejas is ruled out after feeling a previous issue in the Monterrey match, which also kept him out against Olimpia. The injury is not considered serious, but they prefer not to risk him, and his return would be targeted for the next round against Puebla.

Cervantes has suffered a muscle tear and is set to be sidelined for several weeks.
