André Silva returns to Porto nine years after leaving | OneFootball

André Silva has returned to Porto nine years after leaving the club where he came through the academy. He was out of contract at Elche.

Porto said in a statement that the 30-year-old forward has signed a one-year deal with an option for a further season.

Silva began his senior career with Porto B at 18, then stepped up to the first team.

In 2016-17 he finished as the club’s top scorer with 21 goals, then broke into Portugal’s senior side, for whom he has 53 caps and 19 goals, before joining AC Milan and embarking on spells across Europe.

Last season he played in La Liga for Elche, scoring 10 in 31 league matches.
