Angers and Lyon drew 0-0 at Stade Raymond Kopa on Sunday, a result that keeps Lyon fifth in Ligue 1.
In the 14th minute, Ainsley Maitland-Niles drew a smart save from Herve Koffi. Ousmane Camara then headed wide in the second minute of first half stoppage time.
After the restart, Corentin Tolisso's dipping effort was pushed away by Koffi (48.). From the ensuing corner, Afonso Moreira's delivery found Tanner Tessmann, who glanced past the far post (49.), as Les Gones ramped up the pressure.
Pavel Sulc went off injured and was replaced by Roman Yaremchuk (55.). Moreira twice threatened from the left channel but missed the target (72., 80.).
Rachid Ghezzal saw a close-range header blocked (83.), before Dominik Greif denied Camara's late header to preserve the point (87.).
Les Gones dominated the ball with 68% possession and registered 11 attempts, forcing two saves. Angers carved out eight efforts and hit the target once, relying on a disciplined back five.
