Anthar Yahia leaves Angers U17 role to join Algeria as assistant

According to L'Équipe, former Algeria international Anthar Yahia, 44, has left his Angers U17 post to become assistant to new national team coach Brahim Hemdani.
Yahia enjoyed a senior career from 2000 to 2017, winning 53 caps and scoring 6 goals for Algeria.
He had been due to lead Angers’ U17s this season. After a spell as a player at the club from 2014 to 2016, he stayed on to work within the youth set-up.
Last season he coached the reserve team in N3.
Angers thanked Yahia for his commitment and professionalism and wished him success in his new international role.
