Arokodare left out of Wolves camp as Fiorentina and Trabzonspor pursue loan | OneFootball

Tolu Arokodare has been omitted from Wolves’ pre-season camp in Portugal amid active interest from Europe. According to ExpressAndStar.com, talks over a loan move are ongoing.

Fiorentina are the latest to see a bid rejected after proposing a loan, which was turned down because the fee was too low. They would need to raise the terms significantly to reach agreement. The 25-year-old remained at home as the squad flew out on Monday for a week-long camp.

Wolves are open to offers and a loan is currently the likeliest outcome. Trabzonspor had a loan offer rejected last week and remain in the race. It is understood Arokodare prefers a move to Italy over Türkiye.

Fiorentina are expected to return with an improved proposal, with other clubs also in contact.

The Nigerian international joined last summer in a deal worth up to £24 million. He scored three Premier League goals and six in all competitions from 38 appearances as Wolves were relegated. He reported back at Compton last week but his omission now points towards an exit.

Former head coach Rob Edwards wanted him moved on after a dressing-room altercation with team-mate Mateus Mane following the 4-0 loss to West Ham, with Arokodare the sole aggressor. Under new boss Cesar Peixoto, he is set to play no further part next season.
