In a recent post on X, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga this summer. It has been revealed that the Gunners are pushing to get a deal done for him in this summer transfer period.

Monga’s Rapid Rise In The EFL Championship

The 16-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Leicester City and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their first team last season. Monga has scored one goal and earned two assists in 30 matches for the Foxes in the previous campaign across all fronts.

The Coventry-born talent is currently one of the most gifted young wingers in English football. Thus, the Gunners would do well to get him on board this off-season.

Monga is yet to pen a professional contract at the King Power Stadium. Hence, Arsenal would fancy their chances of acquiring his services in this summer transfer period.

Arsenal Are In Advanced Talks To Sign Monga: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Monga is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.

The English whizkid has already added a few goals and assists to his game. Monga is primarily a left-winger but can also fill in as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to recruit him this summer.

Monga would bring more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to fight for a place in the North London club’s match-day squad.

At 16, the future looks quite bright for Monga as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is a generational talent who is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, the Gunners should try everything they can to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this off-season.
