In a recent interview with Voetbal Primeur, Greek journalist Dimitris Manakos claimed that Arsenal are in pole position to land Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eager to get a deal done for the Greek wide player this summer.

Tzolis’ Incredible Numbers In The Jupiler Pro League

Tzolis had an excellent campaign at the Belgian club as he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old banged in 22 goals and earned 29 assists in 52 matches for Club Brugge last season on all fronts.

The Greek talent is currently one of the most talented wingers in his homeland. Thus, Arsenal would do well to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this off-season.

His current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap later this year.

What Will Tzolis Add To Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta’s Side?

Tzolis is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.

The Greek sensation proved his worth as a consistent performer on the left side of Club Brugge’s attack last season. Tzolis is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to sign him later this year.

We can expect Tzolis to add more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.

At 24, Tzolis has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Gunners to pursue in this transfer window. He might even help Arsenal compete for some major honours over the next few years. Therefore, Arteta would be wise to get a deal done for Tzolis this off-season.
