Arsenal gets a boost in their bid to sign Como man

Jacobo Ramon is one of the finest young players in Italian football as he helps Como exceed expectations in Serie A, but he may be becoming too good to remain at the club for much longer.

Arsenal were interested in signing him during the last transfer window, and the Gunners reportedly held serious discussions about adding him to their squad. In the end, they chose Ezri Konsa as the defender to bring in, and the Englishman has been excellent since his arrival.

Arsenal are expected to continue looking for the best players on the market, and Ramon remains a player who could interest them. At the moment, he is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe, which is why the Gunners would like to add him to their transfer shortlist.

Arsenal Continue to Monitor Ramon

One obstacle Arsenal faced in signing Ramon was Real Madrid. The defender moved to Como from the Spanish club, meaning Real Madrid still have an interest in his future and some influence over what happens next.

Real Madrid could potentially re sign Ramon, which would create another obstacle for Arsenal. However, the defender’s own preference could make a difference as he looks to establish himself away from the club where he previously played.

Fichajes says Ramon has told Real Madrid that he does not want to return to the club and instead wants to continue his career elsewhere. His preference could therefore give Arsenal encouragement if they decide to pursue him again.

Ramon Wants to Continue His Career Elsewhere

In Madrid, Ramon would face significant competition for playing time because the club have invested in several experienced centre-backs. A return could therefore make it difficult for him to secure the regular football he needs to continue his development.

That situation could make Arsenal an attractive option if the Gunners can provide assurances over his role. Ramon would need to be confident that he can play regularly before considering his next move.

Arsenal’s previous interest shows that they have already been monitoring his development, while his performances for Como have strengthened his reputation. If he continues to improve, his situation could become increasingly interesting for the Gunners.
