Arsenal extended the gap to seven points at the top of the Premier League table after a comfortable win over Leeds United at Elland Road.

While the Gunners did take all three points there was an issue before the game with Bukayo Saka getting injured that led to Mikel Arteta having to reshuffle his line-up and bringing Noni Madueke into the side instead.

The visitors took the lead with just under half an hour gone in the game from a corner that was initially cleared by Leeds but the ball came back in with Madueke setting up Martin Zubimendi to head home.

As well as scoring from corners another key part of this Arsenal side is benefiting from own goals and with the Gunners' second both things converge. Madueke put in the delivery that went in via Karl Darlow to make it 2-0 in the 38th minute.

It was difficult to see Leeds getting back into the game after trailing by two goals at half-time. Indeed, a third arrived in the 70th minute as substitute Gabriel Martinelli whipped in a ball from the right that Viktor Gyökeres was on hand to convert.

There was still time for one more as the league leaders added to their healthy goal difference as Gabriel Jesus showed great strength in the area to shrug off his marker and fire low into the bottom corner.

The North London side will now hope their local rivals Tottenham Hotspur help out as they face second-place Manchester City on Sunday.
