AS FAR, Al Ahly and JS Kabylie lead nine team line up for CAF Champions League Group Stage 2025/26
Moroccan powerhouse AS FAR (Association Sportive des Forces Armées Royales) have booked their place in the CAF Champions League group stage for the third time in their history after dispatching Horoya AC 3-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium to complete 4-1 aggregate victory.
The Royal Army Club (13 time champions of Morocco) deliver another commanding performance confirming their back to back qualifications and reinforcing their return to Africa’s top tier.
Having drawn 1-1 in Conakry week earlier, AS FAR took full control of the return leg.
This result marks AS FAR’s third appearance in the group stage (after 2007 & 2024 /25).
Their next mission: reaching the knockout rounds for 1st time since their legendary 1985 title triumph.
In Tizi Ouzou, JS Kabylie beat US Monastir 2-1 (5-1 on aggregate) to secure their group stage berth.
Despite their elimination, Monastir earned plaudits for their courage and attacking intent showing positive signs for the Tunisian league season ahead.
Earlier in the day, record 12 time champions Al Ahly advanced after 1-0 win over Burundi’s Eagle Noir in Cairo repeating 1st leg scoreline in Bujumbura.
