Atlético-MG plan renewed move for Luiz Araújo | OneFootball

Atlético-MG have renewed their pursuit of Flamengo winger Luiz Araújo and will push for a deal in the next transfer window. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Belo Horizonte club remain focused on the 29-year-old and intend to table a proposal.

Leonardo Jardim has asked for Araújo to stay at Flamengo in recent months. Even so, limited minutes could shape a possible departure in the coming months.

Araújo is under contract at Flamengo until December next year. This season he has played 20 matches, scoring three goals with two assists.

He featured in almost every game last term under Filipe Luís, making 68 appearances with 13 goals and nine assists.

For now, Araújo remains focused with the squad on forthcoming fixtures. Flamengo visit Independiente Medellín on Thursday seven May in the Copa Libertadores.
