A leading member of the attacking ranks at Atlético Madrid has on Saturday secured for himself a place in the history books.
This comes owing to his exploits in Atléti’s La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad.
Diego Simeone’s troops are currently locked in action on the domestic front, having welcomed Imanol’s Sociedad to Spain’s capital for a league clash.
And to say that Alexander Sørloth has since proven himself the star of the show at the Metropolitano would be something of an understatement…
Remarkably, Sørloth rattled off a hat-trick inside the opening quarter of an hour on Saturday. Not only that, but his three goals came in the space of just shy of four minutes, more specifically, three minutes and 57 seconds.
And as much, unsurprisingly, has culminated in history on the part of the Norwegian.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Sørloth now boasts the record for the fastest hat-trick ever scored in La Liga.
