Attempted burglary at Lamine Yamal’s home after World Cup semi-final win | OneFootball

An attempted break-in occurred at Lamine Yamal’s home on Wednesday morning, hours after Spain beat France 2-0 in the World Cup semi-finals.

Police said there had been an attempt but did not disclose the owner’s identity. La Vanguardia reported the property targeted was the footballer’s home.

Two masked intruders climbed the perimeter wall, then fled when confronted by private security, the report added.

The house is known to have previously belonged to former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and Colombian singer Shakira when they lived together in Catalonia.

Yamal was involved in the opening goal for La Roja in the 2-0 victory over France.
