Augsburg ‘could profit’ from PSV Eindhoven sale of Pepi | OneFootball

Kicker.de reports that Augsburg could profit if PSV Eindhoven sell former player Pepi, owing to a sell-on clause.

PSV paid the Bavarian club €11 million in 2023, and a summer transfer is expected to add another €5 to €7 million, more or less recouping their outlay.

The United States international, 23, is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after scoring 16 goals in 26 games last season.

He was close to a €40 million move to Fulham, but the switch collapsed at the last minute.

Fulham remain in the frame, and another unnamed Premier League side is considering a bid. A Bundesliga club able to afford a high fee is also said to be keen.
