Augsburg ‘reach verbal agreement’ for RB Leipzig winger Faik Sakar | OneFootball

Augsburg are close to signing RB Leipzig winger Faik Sakar, with a verbal agreement in place on a contract until 2030, Sky Germany reports.

Sakar, 18, remains under contract at Leipzig until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Talks over an extension at Leipzig had stalled for some time, with a move to Augsburg seemingly imminent.

A left winger by trade, Sakar has made nine appearances across the U-19 Youth League and Youth DFB Cup, scoring two goals.

He began at SF Charlottenburg Wilmersdorf 03 before joining Leipzig, where he progressed through the U-17 and U-19 teams.
