Auxerre’s former captain Elisha Owusu set to join promoted Erzurumspor in Türkiye

Elisha Owusu, who captained Auxerre until May, is leaving with a year left on his contract to join Erzurumspor in Türkiye.

According to L'Équipe, the move will earn Auxerre €1m before add-ons. The Ghana international midfielder is 28.

He remains under contract until 2027 and is on a substantial wage for the club.

Owusu was an unused substitute in Saturday’s last friendly against Bremen, which finished 1-0.

He joined Auxerre from La Gantoise in January 2023 for €500,000.
