Auxerre’s end-of-window plans hinge on Kevin Danois, with Premier League interest building and a €35m threshold in place. According to L'Équipe, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs courting the player.
Danois is not expected to be sold for less than €35m. If offers exceed that figure before the window shuts on Tuesday 1 September, which is very possible, a sale would be likely.
Should he depart, Auxerre would need to replace him and also recruit a midfielder. That addition would come on top of other targeted moves.
The club need to bring in a right-back because of the long absence of Ghanaian Marvin Senaya. Cover in that position is viewed as a priority.
Auxerre are also likely to seek a left winger. Further business depends on what happens with Danois in the final days.
