Athletic Club winger Nico Williams has officially been withdrawn from the Spanish national team camp after it was confirmed that he is not fit to continue during the international break.

Muscle discomfort after the match in Seville

The forward reported pain in his left thigh after the match against Croatia. Despite close monitoring during the rest day, the persistent pain prevented him from training with the rest of his teammates in the session scheduled for this Thursday.

Return and recovery under Athletic Club's care

After undergoing further medical tests with the Royal Spanish Football Federation's medical staff, the authorities decided on his immediate departure. Nico Williams will return to his club to continue his rehabilitation treatment under the supervision of Athletic's medical services.
