Bafétimbi Gomis could become Troyes sporting director | OneFootball

Ligue 2 leaders Troyes could appoint former striker Bafétimbi Gomis as sporting director to replace Antoine Sibierski at the end of the season.

According to L'Équipe, City Group, the club’s owner, may hand the role to Gomis as planning for next season gathers pace.

The 40-year-old former France international, capped 12 times with three goals, has been learning the football operations side since retiring in 2024.

He has travelled widely to meet different executives and already knows the team who could work alongside him in the post.

Developed and turned professional at Saint-Étienne, Gomis spent half a season at Troyes in 2005 while the club were in Ligue 2, making 13 appearances and scoring six goals.
