Barcelona chief confirms club’s next signing | OneFootball

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has on Monday announced the club’s latest first-team addition. This comes by way of confirmation that Karim Adeyemi is primed to join the Blaugrana imminently.

Frontman Adeyemi of course saw his name explode to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital late last week.

After word was forthcoming that the German had been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of the Camp Nou brass, talks were swiftly kicked into gear with Borussia Dortmund over the terms of a deal.

From here, an agreement was soon reached, for a reduced fee ahead of the expiration of Adeyemi’s contract at Signal Iduna Park in 12 months’ time.

Speaking to the media early this week, the aforementioned Joan Laporta was therefore drawn on the name of the 24-year-old.

And in quotes cited by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona’s president went on to admit:

“We are so happy. He’s a player we’ve been tracking for a long time. Adeyemi is very fast, a very good player. Deco did an excellent job.”
