According to reports from SPORT, FC Barcelona are fully confident that they will face zero issues registering priority transfer target Julian Alvarez in La Liga, marking a monumental turning point in the club’s financial recovery.
The Catalan giants are fully assured that they possess the necessary wage bill flexibility to register the Atletico Madrid forward ahead of the upcoming season, should they successfully sign him.
This breakthrough completely eliminates the bureaucratic registration hurdles that have plagued the club’s high-profile transfers in recent years.
The definitive green light stems directly from the landmark news that Barcelona have officially returned to La Liga’s strict 1:1 Financial Fair Play spending rule.

Following a formal review and approval by La Liga president Javier Tebas, the club has thrown off the restrictive spending shackles that previously mandated they only spend a fraction of what they generated.
Operating under the 1:1 rule means sporting director Deco can now reinvest 100% of every euro generated via player sales and freed-up wages directly into new signings.
This dramatically improved financial cushion has been engineered through a series of sweeping economic manoeuvres.
Significant relief on the club’s wage bill was achieved following the high-profile summer departure of Robert Lewandowski, alongside the strategic sales of Ansu Fati to Monaco and Inaki Pena to Panathinaikos.

Additionally, ongoing revenue streams, including an influx of funds from the long-term advance sale of Spotify Camp Nou’s VIP seating packages, have successfully rebalanced the club’s books to meet La Liga’s stringent compliance standards.
With the financial infrastructure officially certified by the league, Barcelona can approach the negotiating table with absolute confidence.
Alvarez remains the undisputed priority on Hansi Flick’s summer transfer wishlist, and knowing his registration is guaranteed provides Barcelona immense leverage.
While a formal fee must still be ironed out with a furious Atletico Madrid board, the Catalan side are now in a position where they can confidently say that they have the economic muscle to turn Alvarez’s dream move into a reality.
